The Community Pool is Closed for the 2022 Season
Unfortunately, we are unable to open the Community Pool for the remainder of the season. The equipment failures that the staff has been troubleshooting throughout the week will not be repaired before the planned closing date of August 16. Thank you to all of this year’s pass holders, visitors, and lifeguards for a great season – we are sorry to see it end so soon.
We are thankful to Genoa Township Park District who will honor Sycamore Park District Aquatic Passes at their pool. The Genoa Pool, located at 400 E 2nd St, is open through August 13. To learn more about this facility, visit genoaparkdistrict.com/aquatics.
While the Board of Commissioners, as well as the staff, have concerns about the age of this 39-year-old facility, they have been able to maintain the equipment to date. Further assessment of this equipment failure will be completed over the next couple of weeks, and, at that time, the Board will be able to address the future of this facility.

Refunds & Inclement Weather
- All fees are nonrefundable.
- Hours of operation may be altered due to special events, if the temperature is below 70 degrees, or if lightning or severe weather occurs.
- If lightning or thunder is seen or heard, the pool will close for a ½ hour until the final detection and may reopen if possible. For up-to-date information, call 815-895-3365.
Community Pool Rentals
Make a splash with your next party or event when you have it at the Community Pool!
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 5:30-10pm.
2 hour minimum rental.
50 people – $130/hour
50+ people – Additional $2/per person
All pool rentals must be booked in person at the Community Center Service Desk, 480 S. Airport Road.
