Puppies Gone Wild

This class is a combination of off leash play time, confidence building, and training. Your dogs will learn important social cues from the other puppies and have an opportunity to experience different sounds, textures and equipment to help build confidence. During basic training your puppy will learn basic cues such as sit, down, leave it, and settle on cue. Your puppy will also learn very basic leash manners.

This class focuses on the application of basic obedience cues to everyday manners. In this class, your dog will learn to settle on cue, impulse control, basic leash walking, and a reliable recall. Class is positive reinforcement, force free training, and is primarily a food-based reward program. The trainer recommends using a harness or no slip martingale collar and a standard 6 feet leash.
Canine Good Citizen

Prerequisite: successful completion of basic obedience class
Canine Good Citizen is an advanced obedience class that was designed by the American Kennel Club and framed to provide skills that every dog should have to be a polite member in the community. Each member can test for the exam at the end of the 6-week class. Exam items consist of accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, appearance and grooming, out for a walk (loose leash walking), walking through a crowd, sit stay/down stay on cue, coming when called, reaction to another dog, reaction to distraction, supervised separation.
